Welcome to Dandelion Therapy Services

Welcome to Dandelion Therapy Services.

I  am the founder of Dandelion Therapy Services. I want to use this opportunity to let you know a bit about me and why I set up dandelion Therapy services.

In the past, I have had support through various models of therapy that I feel has been invaluable to my life today. It supported me through difficult life experiences and left me feeling inspired to train to offer others the same support. Because of my past and the help I received, I am so passionate about my work as a psychotherapist.

Why I chose the name Dandelion Therapy services?

After many conversations and brainstorming with friends and family, I decided on the name Dandelion Therapy Services. It wasn't a lucky choice that we stuck with; I feel it has so much power and significance that I knew it was the right decision. The dandelion plant often regarded as a 'nuisance', simply a weed that so many try to drag up from the ground. And yet, it is one of the most valuable plants in the world. Every part of the dandelion has its incredible uses, much like us humans. Not only are dandelions one of the first flowers to bloom in spring, making them a vital food source for insects and birds, but they also have long been used as traditional medicine. Dandelions, regarded as a symbol of healing and resilience, are rich in nutrients packed with healthful properties.

People often seek counselling because they feel useless and sometimes describe themselves as unimportant or feel that the world would be better off without them in it. I see this similar to dandelions. They can be labelled 'useless weeds' so carelessly, yet could not be further from the truth. Just like dandelions, we all bring something unique to the world. Sometimes we just need a little help to find it.
