About Me

Hi, I provide professional, caring and confidential counselling for adults, couples and children.

As an experienced and qualified counsellor, I work with various issues, including anxiety, stress, bereavement, depression, and relationship problems. Over the years, I have helped people through difficult and emotional moments in their lives. Through exploring ways of coping and improving life, I have developed my skills and experience as a therapist.

I fully comply with the BACP' Ethical Framework for Counsellors' and follow the BACP Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work in private practice offering face to face, telephone and online counselling.

I have worked with clients across all age ranges, from age 5,   up to and beyond retirement. I have the fullest commitment to offering a welcoming service to all backgrounds in a supportive and non-discriminatory manner.

I have always had a great passion for helping people; this became evident through my work in Human Resources and reflected throughout my various management roles.

I continue to offer support and counselling through online or telephone sessions to existing and new clients during these difficult times. To the best of my ability.

I aim to provide online counselling opportunities that endeavour to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment that will give you time and space to understand and gain insight into your situation. This process can foster growth and lead to positive change in your life. I will not be in a position to offer advice.

I use an 'Integrative' approach in my work with clients. This means that rather than specialising in one traditional therapy model, I seek to combine aspects of different approaches to provide the most effective way of working. I will always explain clearly to you how we will work together and what you can expect.

I also currently work at Cardiff Mind, which has given me a wealth of experience working with various mental health issues, including anxiety, domestic abuse, depression and relationship problems.

I continue to develop my knowledge through attending 'Continuing Professional Development workshops and training. This ensures my practice and knowledge is kept up to date on specific issues and current developments.

About the way I work

To the best of my ability, I will provide online counselling opportunities that endeavour to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you are provided time and space to understand and gain insight into your situation. This process can foster growth and lead to positive change in your life. I will not be in a position to offer advice.

‘Online’ counselling is different from face-to-face work as misunderstandings may occur due to a lack of facial expressions and tone of voice. We should agree to think the best of each other and then try to express how we feel. In the event of a misunderstanding arising for either party, we should seek to clarify the cause of miscommunication.

Becky thank you so much for all your help and support you have given me. I have come such a long way, can see more light, the tunnel is almost clear. I’ve gained a lot of confidence back and this is greatly due to you.
